Pancake Adopted
Pancake's struggle is over. When Jessica, volunteer coordinator with Guardians of Animals first heard about Pancake she was horrified. Pancake was buried alive. Neighbors heard Pancake whinning and gasping for air and called local animal services. Jessica pulled Pancake from animal services. Pancake was severly malnourished and signs indicated Pancake had previously had been burned. Guardians of Animals was able to provide vet care and love to Pancake. Once Pancake fully recovered Jessica decided to approve the adoption application to a loving family in the Charlotte area so we can follow Pancake's story. Guardians of Animals would like to thank you all for your support and prayers for Pancake. Please consider donating to Guardians of Animals so we can continue working on behalf of animals like Pancake.
Pancake needs you help
I am determined to live. My name is Pancake and I was buried in a box in my former family's backyard. They were crazy and it almost killed me! The only way I was saved was because my neighbors heard me crying and gasping for air. I was pulled from Lincoln County Animal Control when Jessica, volunteer coordinator with Guardians of Animals, heard my story. I am now safe in a foster home with food and a warm bed. Although it will take a little longer for me to fully recover, I was taken to the vet and have a low red blood count, my gums were white, the vet said there were signs that I have been burned before, and I was severely malnourished. I don't know why those people were so mean to me, but I am happy to be in a safe loving home now, looking for my forever home! Also my Chihuahua friend was pulled from Animal Control. He was kept outside his whole life and he is only 9 pounds! He is so happy to be inside now. His name is Taco. We could both use some help finishing paying off our vet bills though. If you would like to donate you can do so through PayPal.
We have had an overwhelming response from animal lovers all over America seeking to adopt Pancake. Currently Pancake is living in a foster home receiving comfort and love. Once he is healthy, we will find him the wonderful loving home he deserves.
